In every form of work, there is some form of training. Typically this is done by a mentor or an instructor, but what do you do when there’s neither a trainer nor a budget? Training then becomes a matter of legality from “read & signs” to “death by power point”. On-the-job training is meant to bridge the knowledge gaps left from technical schools. When on-the-job training is left up to a power point slide, is it really about the training, or sending a message?
