All about that Phase (Bout That Phase), No Support!

Phases, home station checks, and other periodic maintenance inspections are VITAL to maintain the lifespan of an aircraft. Despite this, many senior level officials will gloss over these inspections for the sake of having the plane back into its operation cycle. Actions like these can result in a best-case scenario of turning into hangar queens or worst case a catastrophic failure.
Periodic maintenance inspections have a pre-planned schedule, however the planned vs actual inspection completion varies directly with the condition of the aircraft prior to the execution of it's planned maintenance interval.  In almost every case, for the sake of continued operation, discrepancies are deferred until its next periodic maintenance plan.  Again however, for the sake of operations, thorough periodic maintenance actions are rushed in order to have the aircraft back into service.
